ALFA ANDERSON FEATURED ON NEW CHIC SINGLE "I'll BE THERE" 
 
Alfa Anderson sings background vocals on the new single by CHIC featuring Nile Rodgers, "I'll Be There." It will be released March 20, 2015 on Warner Bros. It's the first CHIC single in nearly 25 years. Original CHIC Organization vocalists Luci Martin and Fonzi Thornton also join Alfa on background vocals. Pre-order the single on iTunes.
 
 
"LE FREAK" by CHIC INDUCTED INTO GRAMMY HALL OF FAME (CLASS of 2015)
 
The original 1978 recording of "Le Freak" by Chic has been inducted into the Recording Academy's Grammy Hall of Fame (Class of 2015). Alfa Anderson and Diva Gray shared lead vocals on the song, which also featured background vocals by Bernard Edwards, Luci Martin, David Lasley, and Luther Vandross. "Le Freak" was written by Nile Rodgers & Bernard Edwards. It went to #1 on the pop, R&B, and disco charts, and was certified platinum by the RIAA. 
 
 
ALFA ANDERSON: 2014 YEAR IN REVIEW VIDEO MONTAGE
 
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year! Thanks for your support in 2014. I hope you enjoy this video montage. I sang the lead vocals on "In Love With Music" from Chic's 1983 album, BELIEVER. That song captures how I feel about music, and certainly all of the wonderful experiences I had this year.
 
 
ALFA ANDERSON VOLUNTEERS AT THANKSGIVING DINNER SPONSORED BY THE FELIX ORGANIZATION
 
On Sunday, November 23, Alfa Anderson served Thanksgiving dinner to foster children and their families at an event sponsored by The Felix Organization. As part of the afternoon's program, Alfa and Norma Jean Wright also treated the guests to a rendition of "Good Times." Based in New York, The Felix Organization "provides inspiring opportunities and new experiences to enrich the lives of children who are growing up in the foster care system."

ALFA ANDERSON RETURNS TO JOE'S PUB STAGE IN NEW YORK CITY
 
On Saturday, November 22, Alfa Anderson, Norma Jean Wright, and Vivian Reed appeared with Company Freak at Joe's Pub in New York. Alfa sang the Chic classic "I Want Your Love" and joined Norma Jean on "Saturday," "Le Freak," and "Good Times." (Click on below slideshow to see photos.) Led by Jason King, Company Freak recently recorded "Luxe Life," which features Alfa and Norma Jean on background vocals and will be released in March 2015. The evening marked Alfa's second 2014 appearance at Joe's Pub. In July, she sang background for Aziza Miller at her CD release show, What's On Your Mind? 
ALFA ANDERSON REUNITES WITH NILE RODGERS & THE CHIC ORGANIZATION
 
On Friday, November 14, Nile Rodgers invited Alfa Anderson to Avatar Studios (formerly the Power Station) in New York City. Alfa recorded background vocals on a new Chic track alongside former band members Luci Martin and Fonzi Thornton plus current Chic vocalists Kimberly Davis and Folami. The song will be released in 2015. "It was such a powerful musical and emotional experience to reunite with Nile, Luci, and Fonzi," says Alfa. "How special that Nile has bridged both generations of Chic for this historic recording session."

ALFA ANDERSON TO APPEAR WITH COMPANY FREAK AT JOE's PUB; RECORDED VOCALS ON GROUP's NEW TRACK "LUXE LIFE"
 
On Saturday, November 22, Alfa Anderson, Norma Jean Wright, and Vivian Reed will appear with Company Freak at Joe's Pub. Showtime 9:30 p.m. (Click here for tickets.) Led by Jason King, Company Freak recently recorded "Luxe Life," which features Alfa and Norman Jean on background vocals. Alfa just returned from Cancún where she had the pleasure of performing classic Chic songs with Norma Jean, Luci Martin, and Company Freak at a private event.

ALFA ANDERSON HONORED by G.E.M.A. FOUNDATION; PERFORMS AT THE GRAND OPERA HOUSE FOR The Golden Decade of Disco Divas 
 
On Friday, October 10th, 2014, Alfa Anderson received the Golden Mic Award from the Global Entertainment Media Arts Foundation (G.E.M.A.). Councilman-at-Large David Oh also presented her with a Citation from the City of Philadelphia in honor of her contributions to music. The following night, Alfa performed at the Grand Opera House in Wilmington, DE for The Golden Decade of Disco Divas concert. She appeared with other G.E.M.A. honorees including Linda Clifford, Evelyn "Champagne" King, The Three Degrees, Anita Ward, Cory Daye, Carol Williams, Carol Douglas, The Ladies of SKYY, Wardell Piper, and Denise Montana.
